I think I can shed some light on this sudden, and perhaps confusing, situation regarding posting. It shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone that it hurts others' feelings when they are spoken of with negativity. The twisted realities and stretched truths of Kat Corson's more recent posts have been painting the officers in a terrible color, with the result (this shouldn't be a surprise) that posting rights have been temporarily revoked, save those of Adri and me (the ones who can explain what is going on).
While I have this soapbox, I suppose I'll take advantage to explain (at arguable length) my position on the matter.
I hold these truths to be self-evident:
* The GSA is an organization focused on Peace, Unity, and Understanding of others.
* It is counter-productive (to our goal of reaching peaceful understanding) to speak badly of another unless you have addressed your grievance(s) personally to no avail.
* The GSA room is a place of refuge and harmony - negativity invading the group is unwelcome.
If anyone should disagree with any of these statements, let him or her post a comment suggesting an amendment.
Ahem. Thank you.
::gets off soapbox::
In closing, I'd like to remind everyone that our next meeting will be on Wednesday, Nov. 9 (the last day before break). We will be finalizing our poll and discussing "openly out" celebrities.
